Zinger signs a four-year deal

The Falcons announced that seventh round pick Keith Zinger signed a four-year contract on Saturday evening. Zinger was the final of the Falcons eleven draft picks this past April, and is the second one to sign a deal. The first was top pick Matt Ryan about three weeks ago.

Zinger was attractive to the Falcons due to his blocking ability and will be competing for playing time this summer as a reserve tight end.

Falcons round up draft with Zinger

With the Falcons final pick in the draft, the Falcons attempted to improve depth at tight end by taking LSU's Keith Zinger, who performed as a blocker mostly for the Tigers. He'll help alleviate the loss of Alge Crumpler and Dwayne Blakley in free agency this past year.
