Marshall signs with Falcons
Michael Murphy of the Houston Chronicle reports that Houston wide receiver Vincent Marshall has signed as a free agent with the Falcons.
Marshall (5'7" 165) has excellent speed, timing a 4.36 40-yard dash at his pro day. He was a productive receiver at Houston, catching 272 passes for 3770 yards (13.8 avg) and 26 touchdowns over his career. He also rushed for 299 yards on 37 carries (8.1 avg) and 1 touchdown. He was a solid return specialist the past two seasons, returning 32 punts for 323 yards (10.1 avg) and a score, and 16 kickoffs for 370 yards (23.1 avg).
He adds speed to the receiving corps, but will likely be limited to special teams duties in his bid to make the Falcons roster this summer.
