Good point. My wife and I watched that as well and noted this was ESPN making some pretty unsubtle commentary following the broadcast. Doubt AU getting a death sentence would collapse the SEC though!

I do think the death sentence in almost any case is too much. There were certainly some paralells with what things looked like on the outside at SMU and with Auburn--players changing their minds at the last minute and so on. This happened with Cadillac Williams long before Cam. Probably happens everywhere.
As for Meyer, you know, all kinds of people said they hated Spurrier when he was down there but I never did and I never thought that he was as petty as some of the things I've seen Meyer do. I really never put much thought to Urban or cared one way or another about him but when you look back on him he has been a bit of an ass. Freeman from CBSsportsline had an article a few days back about him saying when he met him he thought he was the cockiest coach he'd ever met. I always percieved him to be one of those kind of uber religious robot coaches...like Chizik.
