I started this a few weeks ago as a side project to get me through the doldrums of summer without football. But now I'll share it with the world or at least the 6 people that read this forum.

If you have an inkling of interest in my opinions about movies and television, then I suggest you check it out. Don't worry I will still put in about a thousand times more man hours and effort towards this site than that blog.

First potential Oscar movie. Should be good with Whalberg and Bale in it.

Saw the trailer. Mark Wahlberg continues to be a mediocre actor at best. Didn't they already make this movie? Wasn't it called Cinderella Man and Million Dollar Baby?

I think your thinking of Rocky! It does look like a moden day Cinderella Man movie. Still usually December as the better movies out of any month so you can't tell all from the previews. I have to disagree I thought Whalberg was good in 4 Brothers,The Shooter off the top of my head.

I don't dislike Wahlberg. There are several movies that he's been in that I like, Shooter being one of them. But all he does in that movie is kill people and scowl. Not exactly the stuff that gets you into Julliard. And in 4 Brothers, I thought he was the least likeable and interesting of the four brothers in that movie.

Now, I do absolutely love Boogie Nights, but that's mainly because he is such a bad actor in that movie. He was good in The Departed and We Own the Night, but mainly because he wasn't really in it.

He just isn't really that charismatic. He's OK, but he doesn't have the chops to carry a dramatic film/role.

Oh now, I remember where I've seen this movie before...it starred Mark Wahlberg and it was called Invicible. Now it's just with boxing and swearing.
