Chris Chancellor
Clemson Senior

PROS: Has decent hips and good speed. Can play in both off and press coverage. Will wrap up and can be an effective drag-down tackler.
CONS: Is tentative at the point of attack when defending the run. Doesn't break down in space and doesn't get off blocks. Doesn't have ideal hip flip and burst. Needs to do a better job looking back to defend the deep pass.
OVERVIEW: One of a pair of NFL-caliber corners at Clemson, and I think the better of the two. But he doesn't have the polish or size to be a starter. Had 42 career starts with 9 interceptions and 41 passes defended.
NFL FORECAST: At best, he's going to have to be a nickel back. He's a nice athlete with good speed, but his lack of size really hurts him. He's not a guy you want trying to make a tackle in space. ANd more than likely he'll be put in a lot of those situations if he's playing in the slot. If he can put on another 10 or more pounds of muscle, his odds of sticking on a roster increase. But more than likely early on, he's going to have to prove himself on special teams. If he can stick early on special teams, he has a chance to develop as a decent No. 3 corner. But he'll always be limited and even if he does win a nickel job down the road, he'll probably only be average there.
ATL FORECAST: Chancellor isn't likely to stick in Atlanta. He's another undersized corner, and the Falcons already have plenty of those. So unless they get really enamored with his speed and his special teams ability, at best he is a practice squad guy that isn't likely to last more than two summers on the team.
VALUE: A team looking for a nickel corner that could potentially develop into a decent slot corner, he might make a nice late round pick. At best, he's a sixth round pick.
