Middle Tennessee Senior

PROS: Has a good first step that is able to dip the shoulder and turn the corner. Has a nice motor. Shows he's a capable bull rusher for his size. Can make plays in pursuit.
CONS: Not a strong tackler despite his size. Needs to improve his recognition and play with better gap discipline.
OVERVIEW: He's an undersized defensive end that is probably a better fit at that position than linebacker. Only started full-time his senior year where he had 20 tackles for loss and 7 sacks.
NFL FORECAST: He's a more natural fit as an end and if he can add some bulk, might be able to impact as a situational pass rusher. But if he has any starting potential down the road, it'll have to come at linebacker. He's not going to be an impact player, and more than likely wherever you put him, he'll just be a backup. At best, his career could mirror that of Chike Okeafor, starting out as a situational end and then developing into a decent starting linebacker. But he doesn't have great potential and more than likely will bounce around the league on practice squads rather than making rosters.
ATL FORECAST: McCoy would add competition in camp for the Falcons, probably at end since he's raw as a linebacker. He could push for a practice squad spot, but doesn't offer much upside over the current Falcons ends to think he has a chance of sticking long-term. If he were to bulk up for his second year, he might have the ability to make hte roster as a fourth end, but only if the team parted ways with Abraham and Anderson.
VALUE: He's a tweener that doesn't offer great upside for either position. He should go undrafted.
