The thing I keep hearing about Pool is "athlete, athlete, athlete." He seems to be a top athlete at his position. The lone negatives about him seems to be that he's not a great force vs. the run. And the other is he plays for Oklahoma. That's because in recent years (besides Roy Williams) very few of their defensive players have performed up to expectations. They are labeled "system" players, and it seems for the most part that has held true through recent years.
I'm not sure if the Falcons really want Pool. It really depends on the future of Bryan Scott. One of the biggest questions of the secondary is what does the coaching staff think of Scott? Do they believe that FS is his long-term position, or SS? As of now, it seems they are fine keeping Scott at SS, the position he's played for most of his career. If that's the case, then it means Pool's chances of ending up in Atlanta are stronger. If not, then the team will likely target a more physical run stopper than Pool.
Pool is a guy that I think ultimately will go in Round 1. I'm sure he'll be picked sometime between picks #20 and #45. Right now I see the Packers (#24) and Steelers (#30) being the strongest suitors for him.
