BORIS LEE
6-0/245
Troy Senior

PROS: He has good speed and range to make plays in pursuit sideline to sideline. Has good burst and closes quickly on the ball. Moves well in space and shows potential in zone coverage. Is a capable tackler in the open field. Shows some ability as an interior blitzer.
CONS: Really struggles to get off blocks and too often gets caught up in traffic. Needs to show better awareness in zone and get better depth on his drops.
OVERVIEW: You like him as a flow and chase linebacker that needs to show better instincts and awareness in coverage and vs. inside run.
NFL FORECAST: He probably is a better fit as a weakside linebacker than in the middle. Some teams may like him as a MIKE, because he is the rangy, everydown player that is becoming more and more of a commodity these days. But he is too limited vs. the inside run and really struggles to get off blocks. You're better off letting him move around in space, which is why he'd be a better fit outside. He could probably use some bulking up since I don't think he's as bulky as he's listed. At the very least, he should be able to contribute as a backup and his speed and range will keep him on an NFL roster. I think he can be a decent starter down the road, but nothing special. At best he'll be a Jamie Winborn-type of player. Good enough to start, but not good enough to stick long-term.
ATL FORECAST: Lee could work as an option in Atlanta either as a reserve weakside or middle linebacker. He is probably not the ideal candidate to be a successor to Peterson on the outside, so they are probably better off keeping him at middle linebacker and trying to develop him more in coverage so that he could potentially be a nickel replacement for Lofton. He would likely fill depth for the Falcons and would have to stick on special teams to really have a chance. He can play in Atlanta, but probably wouldn't excel here.
VALUE: He is a mid-to-late round pick. He's probably best fit in the fifth round, but wouldn't be a reach in the fourth round.
