Yeah ESPN is reporting it too.

I hope this shows people that it just wasn't all of Vick's fault that we had a bad passing game. Price wasn't a great WR for us and now the Cowboys see he's not one either. I think he is overrated, unless you make him a 2 or 3 WR.

Big surprise. Price sucks & Moulds must be the man to make Peerless look so good. I honestly think he has the ability but he jsut doesnt care now that he has his money, which would explain why his best year was a contract year. I would honestly be wary of guys whose career year is a contract year from now on.

guys in their contract years almost always play harder and better. in football but especially in basketball, where there are 82 games to play. that has and always will be.

That's smart thinking. Price was definitely a game when we picked him up in 2002, but it was a gamble that I would have made as well. True, I preferred Lavaranues Coles to Price, and he would have been my #1 target, but I don't consider signing Price a stupid decision. Very risky, and it turned out to bite us in the butt, but that happens all the time in the NFL, and only those that are unwilling to take risks in personnel moves are immune to them. And taking risks I believe is the key to success in this league, so I don't fault the Falcons for making their move on Price.

He was an up and coming receiver that offered deep speed in an off-season that didn't have much to offer. It was Price, Coles, and David Boston. The draft wasn't that great, with Stallworth, Lelie, Gaffney, Javon Walker, Marquise Walker, Josh Reed, Andre Davis, Antonio Bryant, and Reche Caldwell being considered the top wideouts at that time in January and early February.

Price's release is not a surprise to me either. Keyshawn and Glenn are playing about as well as they've played in about 3 or 4 years. Patrick Crayton has since emerged as a legitimate #3 receiver. Crayton has been hurt for muchof the past few weeks, and Price failed to impress enough to make the Cowboys believe that with Crayton returning, he's valuable.

I suspect Price will sign with a new team in the off-season, and have to fight his way from a #3 to a #2 job. I think he can still have value for a team in the future, but his situation in Dallas wasn't one he was set up to succeed. It's the equivalent of Jerome Pathon here in Atlanta.
