With knowledge of the Vikings injuries, I'm going to change my prediction to:

Falcons 24
Vikings 17

I don't see the Falcons winning by more than one score. We just aren't a team that is built to win by 14 or 17 points. In fact, the Packers look like the only team on our schedule that I think we have a good chance of beating thoroughly.

I was reading an article by the ultimate assflake Chris Collinsworth. He made an excellent point though. Collinsworth stated that if Vick could actually play better with an injured hammy watch out NFL!

I have to agree... If a hammy injury actually makes you better God help the NFL.

i think it comes down to focus for #7. If you look at our last two losses (Eagles and Seahawks), I think he wasn't focused in either game. His last two wins (Eagles and Bills), he had a good reason to be focused for the game. The first one being for revenge, the 2nd because he wasn't 100%.

The inconsistency of this team wanes on me. Whether its the OL, Vick, the pass rush, or run defense, it seems the key components of this team can never put together back to back solid performances. Maybe we should blame the coaches because they don't stay ahead of opponents, and too often allow teams to adjust to them.

I said it in my game review, but it seems Dunn and Crumpler are the only players I can rely on to play well on a weekly basis. You can't have that with your key players.

That's what I think ultimately will keep the Falcons from winning a Super Bowl at least this year, although I believe them capable of it. To go that far, you need to string 4 or 5 or more good games together at the end of the year. And not since our 7-game unbeaten streak in 2002 has this team approached such a run.

Something that needs pointed out if it isn't obvious maybe vick didn't run as much due to has hamy injury? This forced him to pass more and not aggravate it.I hope vick realizes that it shouldn't take a hamstring injury to make him pass more.A balanced attack is critical since great defenses in the end can stop one dimensional teams. This doesn't mean do not run at all but stay in the pocket, roll out but look for your receivers first then run if needed.

Vick always plays better when he is not 100%...Vick plays so fast that I think sometimes he gets ahead of himself and the rest of his team...when he's hurt he slows down a bit and seem to fall into rhythm with the rest of the offense...it's a shame he's got to be hurt to do that...

Funny thing is he ran around more against the Bills than he did the Seahawks, although he had an "injured" hammy. Honestly, his hammy was fine, he always tweaks it every year like 2 or 3 times.

I am hoping we jump put to an early lead and force the Vikes to be a one sided team (as if they weren't already pretty one sided to begin with...). We should keep Culpepper under pressure for most of the game considering the play of their O-Line, especially since Matt Birk is hurt.

The way we have been having problems with our running game this year, we could be a onesided team right out of the box before you even score.

I can only hope that we keep it that close.

Here's an interesting fact I came across in an article this morning.

The Vikings have never lost in the Georgia Dome and the road team has won each of the last six meetings.

I look for that to change today though. I've just seen how horrid this current Viking team is on the road. I see you beating us handily today. But I will look forward to you thoroughly beating the Packers. :D

Coleman will eat Johnson alive today and be in the backfield all day long. I bet he gets 2 or 3 sacks alone today. Johnson is a rookie and was even benched last week for not playing well during the game. Well let him play like that today and watch Coleman be the NFL defensive player of the week. Our D-Line will stop the deep ball and hurt the passing game for the Vikes in my opinion. No matter what I say we win the game.

Falcons - 24
Vikes - 10

I think Culpepper is going to break out his fancy feet in a Vick-esque fashion and make life hard on our defense. I see them scoring some points but I think our running game is going to get going early & often...

Vikings - 24
Falcons - 28

Daunte may run some, but he has not been as mobile the last couple of games. He tweaked a knee in that Tampa game and it has been bothering him. So I wouldn't look for him to hurt you that bad with the run.

Looks like the Refs are going to decide how this game plays. First 5 minutes saw about 5 penalities.

Nah, looks like your quarterback is going to decide it. :) 47 yards rushing so far. It's going to be a long day for our defense.

I smell and old fashioned butt kicking. I love that fake by Vick where nobody even looked at Vick and he hid it behind himself. Little Brett Favre style going on.

Vick looks good and the Vikes have no pass rush going on right now.

I can't see the game but am listening on Field Pass. Sounds like your D is eating up our OL already.

Doing a pretty good job. The Falcons O-Line is also giving Vick just about all day to get things done too.

Man, TJ Duckett picked up that blitz perfectly! Gave Vick enough time to hit Finneran on the crossing route.

Oh and by the way... TJ Duckett, TOUCHDOWN!

I'm not going to say that quite yet. Our defense isn't letting Culpepper get anything going yet and our offense is staying of the field for a long time letting the D get rested.

TOP so far is like 12 minutes to 5.

Unatural act to cause offense to false start? That's a frickin rule? What sort of BS is that. The defense is trying to get the offense to jump pre-snap.

The Chiefs are killing the Iggles 17-0... Buahahahahahahahah :)

Brooking has been stepping his game up today too. Getting tackles, always around the ball, and not letting anyone get by.

Also, DeAngelo Hall has his 3rd INT of the season returned back into Minny territory.

Vick is down and it doesn't look good. Right knee injury it appears. Hopefully a stinger or a bruse.
