I would like to see them use Hartwell like Trotter is used in Philly. Let him just go down hill and do what he does best and stop the run.

Amen, let the guy run wild. The more he is handcuffed by the scheme the less impact he will have. For example, see Trotter in Washington.

Hartwell if anything will likely be used as a spy along with DeMo or Scott. Other then that Hartwell's sole purpose on this team is run stuffing.

I think we should just have him play tackle to tackle (like Trotter) and stuff the run. Washington made the mistake of trying to play Trotter in space and just isn't the same player. And also I just don't think we need him to play in space when we have guys like D-Mo, Boley and Reese (Next year we will have Beck too) who all are great from sideline to sideline.

I think the coaches are smart enough to let Hartwell do what he does best and let our smaller, quicker guys play out in space. If our interior lineman can protect Hartwell from blocks then he will be a monster.

I wouldn't be against mixing up blitz packages at all. I just hope he makes an impact on the run defense...

I'd be willing to bet that McNabb gets the bright idea to run through a lane in the middle once. On the other side will be Ed.

I wonder if Hartwell has decided on doing his own version of the Ray Lewis dance?

That would be some cool/funny stuff if he did. We could use a more outspoken, fiery leader on our D. I know Brooking, Kerney are leaders and all but you nevre see them jumping around and going crazy all that much.

Hartwell = Run stopper, that is why we brought him and I don't see him blitzing much.

Let's just hope he can shed blocks because offenses won't be doubling either of our tackles on runs until one of them rally steps up. Coleman is great but I think he is viewed as more of a pass rusher, albeit erroneously, and Lavalais is still an unknown.

Not entirely true... Patrick Kerney looks like a raving maniac after some of his stops and sacks. He usually does a good job getting the crowd into it. We don't have a motor mouth like Ray Lewis. I suspect that DeLo will be a talker later in his career.

Yeah Kerney does go pretty crazy after a sack, but we don't really have a vocal leader who is constantly on our guys like Lewis is. I agree that Hall may be that guy soon.

I firmly believe that DeLo will be a bigger talker then Hartwell. Maybe not like Ray Lewis but he has the Deion bug and I like that.

I think Hartwell is our talker but I do see D-Hall becoming that sort of player in the future too. For such a little guy he is very fiesty and I love that about him. He isn't scared of anything or anyone.
