If you don't know who Eric LeGrand is, he's the Rutgers player that was paralyzed a few years ago that really kicked into high gear the player safety measures the NFL has been going through (alongside former Bills TE Kevin Everett).

Eric LeGrand can add another accomplishment to his long list: Diploma.

The former Rutgers football player who was paralyzed during a 2010 game received his diploma this week.

LeGrand told Scout.com that he was 60 credits short of graduation at the time of his injury. He was a labor studies major at the school of Arts and Sciences.

“Thank you for the congratulations on finishing my degree at Rutgers,” he tweeted. “Definitely has been a journey since I got hurt but I did it.”

LeGrand told Scout.com that he wasn’t sure a lot of people even knew he hadn’t already graduated. “I’ve been in school this entire time since January of 2011. It’s been six years and it’s been a journey since I got hurt. I made sure I got it done.”

In that time, LeGrand has also been drafted to the NFL by his former coach Greg Schiano, started a career doing color commentary on games, written a book and much more.
