What sports memorabilia do you have?

For off-topic and non-football related topics such as life, TV, movies, women, video games, etc. If you want to talk other sports, such as MLB, NBA, soccer, etc. this is also the right place.

What sports memorabilia do you have?

Postby mattlanta » Thu Jan 09, 2014 7:26 pm

I'm talking about signed jerseys, helmets, cleats, etc. I don't have any at the moment, but I'm asking because I'm thinking of picking up a jersey or two for when I move back into my parents' house after I graduate from college. I figured a couple of signed memorabilia by my favorite athletes will make me feel better about living in the all to familiar room that was my bedroom growing up.

I don't have any, not big on collecting things. Also don't sound so glum about moving back in with the folks, it will save you money as you get your career under way, I've had to move back 3 times lol.

Thanks man, it's not my folks I'm so down about living with. To be honest, it's my siblings who are kind of lazy and never pick up after themselves. If it's one thing I hate, it's a messy house. And whenever I go home to visit for a few days, for Christmas break or what have you, I find myself always cleaning up their messes rather than enjoying whatever time I can at home.

I was actually looking for a signed Michael Vick jersey. I'm not sure if you guys saw my thread in the AFMB. I hope to "collect" a signed jersey from Michael Vick and Michael Jordan and something worth displaying from Manny Pacquiao. Those just happen to be my 3 favorite athletes ever, so I think it would be cool to have it in my old room.

That's cool, you've set your collecting goals pretty high, especially the Jordan jersey, if you score upload some pics on here!

I have a Football signed by the 2010 Atlanta Falcons (bought it early because I thought it would be the year) and a Julio jones signed mini helmet.

No memorabilia for me. The whole autograph thing jumped the shark for me when I was 13.

Yea I can't do the autograph thing, but I've shook hands with some
famous folks. Mostly at The Masters for 48 years; and Broadway Theaters.

The only autographs I have are Henry Aaron in a biography that Furman Bisher wrote in the late 60s. My father and I happened to be in Lennox Square when he was signing them. Got William Andrews inside the brim to a hat I was wearing once before a game in CNN Center, I think. My uncle got me Gregg Allman's because he delivered Gregg's mail but, yeah, the autograph thing always seemed kind of weird to me. How weird? I've actually given a few.

As to your folks house and your return, believe it or not, they are probably less enthused than you are but I do understand both positions though I've only been in one (parent). It is a good chance to build a nest egg. You'll need it. Congrats on diploma.
