I'm a huge Red Sox fan and this was a truly amazing season. Our roster has a lot of aging players at this point but we also have a ton to look forward to in the coming years. We've got a lot of players in our system right now on the rise who should turn out to be great major league players.

Not that I feel the two situations even tie together, but after everything the city of Boston went through with the marathon bombing, it's great to see Boston prevail at something as big as baseball. The city was practically built on the Red Sox franchise.

Two great and historic orgs in the series. I was pretty indifferent once the Braves were KOed but think it is cool how they rebuilt themselves and jettisoned all the big contracts and got it done with ball players rather than stars....well, they had a star or two...but you get my drift.
