Not to mention the notion of McClure beating Garza out being a feather in his cap and the decision to let Garza go are two different conversations.

If the line stinks this year, I think it will have more to do with the right side of the line being weak/inexperienced. I have little concern for Konz picking up the center position and running with it. Perhaps THIS year, he will struggle at times, but I suspect that he will be at least as effective as McClure in the long run.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that McClure, "held us back." But I do think that McClure was an athletically weak NFL center. He made up for that with his intelligence.
