The guy has a mean streak, but I remember him being a liability as a pass blocker? It would be nice to read some analysis here Pudge, cmon pal.

Living in North Carolina these past 7 years, the entirety of Trueblood's NFL career, I got to see a lot of him going up against the Panthers. Seared into my retinas was how badly he struggled against guys like Julius Peppers and Charles Johnson. And yes, I know you're saying, a lot of good players struggle against those guys, but I mean he got utterly destroyed. Think about the worst memory you have of Sam Baker, and multiply it by 5.

Is he an upgrade over Jones? Yes. But if the Falcons are forced to play Trueblood this year, then they are probably going to be in big trouble. It's been a long time since Trueblood was effective. He lost his starting job (partly due to injury) in 2010 to James Lee who is no longer in the league. Then for some ridiculous reason the Bucs brought him back after the lockout in 2011, and he proceeded to suck again. Then he lost it outright in 2012 to Demar Dotson. And he was 3rd string RT for Washington before one of the weakest RTs in the biz last year (Tyler Polumbus).

It's better than nothing. But don't have higher expectations for this move than you did for Kirk Chambers being added in 2011.

I wonder if we have even tried to make any trades. Seems like we have the LB and RB talent to make a move if we wanted to. (not a big move, mind you, but a move none the less)
