According to Jay Glazer, Tony Gonzalez is coming back. He did an interview with him at Fox Sports and it is on PFT.

Good news. Without him, doubtful Falcons had a good chance for competing for a Super Bowl this year. With him, this offense should remain fairly potent since we all know the defense probably won't be much to write home about.

Super Bowl or bust now from this news. So happy we get to enjoy one more year of Tony G and Pudge's tweets of talking about how Ryan's touchdown passes to Gonazlez is almost as good as porn.

I hope Atlanta uses a pick somewhere between the 1st and 3rd round to find Gonzo's future replacement so he can learn from the master his rookie year.

I saw this news on the NFL Network I was happy to see him come back for one more year. As a Bolt fan I grew to respect/hate/fear him when he was with the Chiefs. Now that he remains out of the conference I can just respect him and do not have to worry about him unless if the Falcons and Chargers meet in the Super Bowl  . I am happy for the Falcons fans and Gonzo.

This. Unless they can get him to come back, why would you not start out a new TE with Gonzo on the roster. Gallardo, Palmer, and Coffman don't have much upside (still holding out hope for Coffman, but it's irrational at this point).

Of course, going DE, DE, G in some order would be great as well.

I was thinking the same thing.

with our first pick at 30, you either have to go DE or DT ( if Nolan is changing the scheme)

So maybe TD puts down the filter and gets
DaMontre Moore

and in round 2 ( pick 28 ) I get this guy:

this guy is going to be a beast. If we snatch him up in the second, we can keep Coffman for depth, dump Palmer and we have our TE blocking set, and the man gets a year under Gonzo to get up to speed. Then, get a RB and another DE via FA, and were on our way!

I don't think we will draft tight end in the first round. We will need to get someone that can start now, at DE or CB depending how FA ends. We are almost out of cap space already so I can't see us having the money to fill both positions with starter level veterans.

yeah, that's why Im for going after Kelce in the 2nd (or 3rd) round ( instead of Zach Ertz or Tyler Eifert in the first) and addressing the DE with our first pick.
