Ryan & Wilson Earned Their Stripes

I wrote a Monday article about yesterday's classic. I had to write an apology for calling Russell Wilson overvalued. Shame on me.

Good read. You're right about Wilson. Was his ability to lead the Seahawks back aided by a lackluster pass rush and some breakdowns in coverage by the Falcons? Sure. But I do think Wilson did a nice job alleviating some of the concerns about whether he can grow into a passer.

Seattle is probably always going to be a team that is predicated on their ground attack because Wilson is not ideally suited to be the type of guy that drops back 40-50 times per game and throws to win. But I do think they showed enough to think that moving forward, they can be a balanced and productive team offensively.
