Takeaways from the game

Postby takeitdown » Sun Sep 09, 2012 6:16 pm

I was excited to see the offense actually embrace the current era and Matt Ryan. I thought the offense really looked different.

Concerns were that the run offense was fairly putrid, holes weren't there (think of our run plays vs KC's run plays in the first half, huge differences in the hole) and Turner didn't display burst at all when there was a hole.

On D the middle of the D got no pressure all game.

So, I love the mindset, but really hope 2 guys in the center of the line (on O and D) don't prevent the team from being really good.

What say you?

We looked great today, we took on a team with playoff hopes, in their house and blew them away in the second half. Great game for Matty Ice, Julio and Tony G. On D, nice second half, way to step up Abe!!! We've got a really good team this year.

You made some great points. Thankfully Corey Peters will be back when the schedule actually starts getting difficult. I thought Babs had some good moments but Jerry was invisible.

Although I'd have to see again... but Baker looked to have absolutely shut down his side in pass protection today.

Nuccah you are correct, but there starting DE was suspended for the game, so Baker dominated a backup.

Yeah, feel free to praise Sam Baker for shutting down Andy Studebaker.

Let's see how Baker adjusts from blocking Studebaker to Elvis Dumervil.
