Rented District 9 Movie Thoughts

Postby thescout » Wed Dec 30, 2009 2:19 am

I finally rented Distrcit 9 tonight it was good.Different but worth the rental.I probably shouldn't talk about the movie to much since some people haven't seen it. Was trying to determine should I rent Termination Salvaiton or District 9.District 9 has better ratings so I went with it. Filmed like a documentary for half the movie.I did like the alien gun it wiped out whoever got in its way, haha. The little alien guy was also fun to see.The concept isn't unique in terms of plot but the way the movie is filmed is.

Yeah I enjoyed this movie also Scout, the Alien guns where nothing to play with. I also thought it was unique the way it was filmed, in the end I would say District 9 is worth the rental.

I watched two good movies last night. Hostage with Bruce Willis, and Street Kings with K. Reeves.

Tonight is The Assisignment.

Watched the show "American Soldiers" on Extra tonight for the first time. One of the worst shows I've ever seen. Phony bombs, just horrible as far as reality goes.

I am surprised I can't remember the movie Hostage with B Willis. Usually I see all his movies. Street Kings that was a good movie.I was flipping channels did Street Kings have Patrick Swayze in it? I generally avoid Blockbuster paying over $5.00 a movie and wait for Netflix movies.I rented District 9 through Blockbuster since Neflix had a long waiting line.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0340163/ Hostage

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421073/ Nope...Swayze wasn't in this movie.

I also watched the Cohen Brothers film "Burn after Reading".. Brad Pitt was just spot on..very cynical look at the CIA.

Wifette and I watched Sherlock Holmes the other day. Always love Downey, Jr. The sets were fantastic. Not bad at all.
