Whitney Houston Has Lost Her Powerful Voice,Sad To See

Postby thescout » Sat Nov 28, 2009 6:56 pm

First I have seen Whitney doing a live performance except when she first came out with her new CD. The article is pretty much dead on Whitney has lost something in her voice that made her perhaps the best pop diva of all time.At least right up there with Mariah but now maybe due to the drugs seems to have lost her power in her voice. I don't know if she needs to work with vocal coaches more or what but I hope she gets her voice back. Right now if she doesn't get better she won't last very long and into the sunset. It's a shame she took advantage of her god given gift and let it detoriate.I knew getting involved with that idiot Bobby Brown it would only damage her.Of course it takes 2 to tangle but watching the video just lets you know how special great singers are and it doesn't take alot to be just like every one else.

She's no Spring chicken. Lots of folks lose some pipes with age regardless of life style. You know, it may sound sacreligious but, in all honesty, what has Aretha Franklin done in the last 30 years? And Aretha is a freakin' God? Hard to stay on top in the pop music biz.

Ture Bnb but in terms of voice Houston has lost that golden magic. Mariah still has it and doesn't appear to be slowing.

While I acknowledge Cary has a "good " voice I have never cared for that style of music for the most part. I prefer a "stylist" relative to a virtuoso in most musical situations. I mean, I honestly love the way Keith Richards sings so go figure.

wow suprising decades of smoking rocks can hurt your lungs go figure? I don't feel that bad since she had everything handed to her on a golden platter and she blew it, and shot it and smoked it all away.... I feel bad for people who have the skill but never get the shot.

Mariah's performance at MJ's funeral was very lackluster. Maybe it was a bad day, or maybe she's losing something too.

She(Mariah) said it was a case of nerves seeing Jackson's casket. No, I don't think she as lost anything since I've heard her on some shows the last few months.
