Sarah Palin is going to be on Oprah Winfrey before her book release aren't you guys excited? Nothing like stirring up your popularity even more than being on Oprah.I bet you she'll have all the women and Repubs wanting to buy that book.Maybe Oprah can learn some new lingo like you betcha, pistol packing momma,I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska, I can see Russia from my backyard,I'm just like ya'll folks.

I'm sure there will be tough questions like why did you quit being govenor after 1 1/2 years? She'll answer it was to pay off legal bills and to help more causes.If every politician quit after being sued there would be no one to run for the seat. Once Mccain put her on the ticket it was like winning the lottery. Instead of handling the many things governors do in their state she became a national figure. I think once she saw the bright lights and what power can do for a person there was no way she wanted to just go back and be govenor. Money talks and with that she pursued the book deal which will reward her and family more money than they could imagine and the high lifestyle.

The people that believe in her just don't get it she is out for the financial gain and she is already popular with a segment of the american people.She can do no wrong and the bottom line is she is polarizing which makes people talk about her. She really doesn't have the brains to lead a country yet because of the media hype will have a lucrative career.

Hey Scout, are you aware that ol Hair Plugs, uh, I mean that genius Joe Biden also wrote a book and appeared on Oprah twice ( once in 2007 and once during the campaign )? And~ the best it ever did was crack the top 30 on Amazon? Now, we all know that Palin supporters are stupid, and cant read. Wanna bet that book goes #1 on Amazon and is in the top 3 on the NYT bestsellers list?

I gotta load of problems with that crackpot lady, but this is where you ''progressives" crack me up. The rolling of the eyes and inability to look at the dumbass VP of the DNC while slamming this broad is very telling. People say Fox news is for stupid people. Who is consitently #1 in ratings? The reason Fox is so popular? They are the only outlet getting 'the other side' out there. Are they biased? From what I've read, old Tard Momma hasn't been to kind to the GOP since she stepped down, She has refused to campaign for GOP candidates, and has refused a number of public speaking events.

You know why I dislike her? Because she said she wanted to spend time with her downie, and now she's pushing a book that will earn her big $$$, which is her right. But she looks like a liar and a tool: she should have waited a couple years and been quiet and THEN do the book. That would have been classy. This chick ain't classy. But: lets be honest, old buddy.. if Sarah Palin was a democrat, you would love her to death, stupid and all. Being a Libertarian, I tend to look at both sides with disdain. But please keep these posts coming, I am in great need of a couple chuckles this week.

I also find it telling that Oprah refused her an appearance during the campaign but now that her guy in POTUS, she's okay with her. And~ I wouldn't count Oprah on tossing softballs to Palin. Mark my words, Oprah is a very, very smart woman, and Palin is not. I guarantee a 'Katie Couric' moment from the interview. Watch and see!

Biden deserves a lot more respect than you're giving him fun gus. He's been out-dumbassing the dumbasses for 30 years. That takes a special kind of dumbass, one perfectly qualified for VP.

It wasn't that Palin was a VP candidate. It was the fact that she was the VP candidate for old ass McCain. Wouldn't you be a lot more concerned about Bush having Quayle as his VP if he was president now?

It's one thing for a 65-year old man to have a dumbass one shot away, it's another to have a 75-year old man have a dumbass one shot away.

But, I maintain that age of McSame has very little to do with the public at large and the media, and if the letter behind her surname was a 'D' there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that not only would she be 'smart and a glass ceiling breaker', those damn Republicans are not only racist but sexist as well for complaining about her Can we all agree that there is a clear double standard there?

I still maintain that her experience at least shows me that she can take orders and advice well. You just dont become a councilwoman, mayor, governor of any state without having at least a grasp of how to listen to your campaign advisors, and if she were POTUS I highly doubt she would be cracking the Eihner code but would be able to let the 'really smart dontcha know' advisors tell her whats going on. However, who knows, her book is titlede 'Going Rogue'? I have an in with a bookseller here so I'll probably read it just to see what her ghost writer cooked up for her.

On a side note, I'm really thinking about asking for a Kindle for Xmas. I've heard you can put like 200 books on them!

You know I used to work in talk radio, and I still have alot of friends that still listen. After Glenn Beck called Obama a racist, I pretty much tuned out, and now I only listen to XM or sports talk. BUt some of these guys are just as bad. One old friend of mine and I were arguing about W, and he said he was proud to be part of the 37% that thought he was a 'good' POTUS He asked me to point out some things Obama has done that I agree with. Plenty. He told the feds to stop investigating medical marijuana users, and I think I feel a spell of glaucoma coming on. I also liked the fact that he didn't pussy out with the pirates, and basically told the Seal team to take them out. And~ while I hardly think it Nobel worthy, I liked the fact that he is not going to fund our imaginary 'missle shield' in Europe anymore. It's time for Poland to look to France and Britain for some help there.

BUt I sure wish he would s*** or get off the pot in Afghanistan. That war wasn't Bush' war, it was all our war. And BUsh screwed it up by sending in too little troops and cutting deals with warlords and opium growers. You know what would make me and most of my freinds in the middle be democrats for life? Obama makes a hard decision and holds a press conference. He comes out and says ' we learned in the last 8 years the danger of playing politics and not going to war with all your might. Its time to put this baby to bed. Effective immediately, all troops stationed currently in Iraq are to start heading over to Afghanistan. In addition, I am calling up all the reserves in all 50 states and immediately putting them on notice, in 2 months, your going over there too if your not already there. Also, I'm taking assets from our bases in Korea and Germany to get rolling. 2 months, folks. Christmas time. Hey. I get it, I am the lone 'conservative' here. If that means stop spending and let the peeps smoke up if they choose, I guess I will suffer the slings and arrows. It's rather funny, because I had a job in the media doing comedy for the right on the radio, I still get the old 'you must be a dumbass' tag. Been there, done that. I'm funny. Even the Honorable Wease has said as much, which I really do consider high praise.

well, I do medicate myself on occasion I guess I fall in most peoples range: fiscal conservative, socially liberal. I dont care if gays get married, but I'd rather not mortageg my sons future to pay for some ridiculous scheme. Since I used to work in radio I get that comparison alot. At least from my 'progressive' friends

I think there are many more conservative thinkers on this board, just not as many as us liberals who are willing to express their views.

It's been my experience that conservatives tend to be smarter about not expressing their political viewpoints unless they are insulated by like-minded individuals. Liberals on the other hand, relish any chance to get up on a soapbox.
