Might need someone to tape the games for me glad to pay

For off-topic and non-football related topics such as life, TV, movies, women, video games, etc. If you want to talk other sports, such as MLB, NBA, soccer, etc. this is also the right place.

Might need someone to tape the games for me glad to pay

Postby thescout » Wed Sep 09, 2009 3:50 pm

I might need some assistance in someone taping the Falcon games for me.I'll be glad to pay for the recordings.I'm in the process of moving and there's a good chance the apartment I'll be at will block the satellite signal of direct tv which I have now. Why don't I simply go to an apartment complex that can get direct tv? Simple ,the apartment that I should get is the best around Indianapolis in terms of value, quality and price and I have been in some others where I had to deal with the walls being to thin hearing people play pool all night, smelling their food, noise etc and love these apartments I hope to be in.

Guess I could have put this on the dad passed away thread but felt a better chance someone would read this with it's own thread. I'm doing alot better by the way moving on with life things are settling down.We got the house sold waiting for our closing date. Guess I'll listen to the Falcon games on radio live and hopefully someone can take me up on my offer to record the games which I would be glad to pay since shipping and halndling plus the time to record the games deserves some reimbursement from me.

Why don't you just sign up for the service on NFL.com? You get all the games for $25 or so from last year and this year.

Yes I plan to listen to the games on radio and I probably even can find a free link to hear the games on the internet. However I still would like to watch the games on TV which is why I hope someone can help me out taping the games. I plan to be in Ft Wayne until the end of the month so I'll be able to watch games till then. Just trying to plan ahead and while radio is nice it isn't the same as watching the games on TV.

Scout...you can watch the games on a TV using the NFL Gameday package. It isn't radio. That is field pass. You just have to hook your computer up to a compatible TV.

I got Game Rewind, thinking it would allow me to watch the preseason games, but I didn't read the fine print, it's only regular and postseason games. But next March when there is no football, I'll be spending my time watching College BBall and football games.

Looks to me you listen to the games not view them on TV. A compatible TV please explain? I thought Direct TV had a monopoly on viewing the games?

I saw this advertisement maybe this is what you are talking about BB? I don't know alot about wat ching NFL games on the computer please tell me what I need to do to get Falcon games. I am seriously thinking of getting a MAC computer not sure if that means anything.Should be able to get it on any computer with the right equipment. Is there a certain forum I go to that as the links to different games once the computer is hooked up.I am new to this bare with me. It would sure cut down on the cost for direct tv.

Just follow the link I gave you Scout. It will even give you a demo to see. The last two minutes of last years super bowl.

By a compatible TV I mean one you can hook a computer up to....Wease is the electro expert....he may fill you in on what to get.

Also visit all the TV forums out there, they are full of good advice.

I think this may shed some light on how to watch the games online. Still researching trying to figure this out.

BB, you sure I can see the games in North America. I have read some articles gamepass is good for people to watch outside of North America not if you live in North America.

Just curious either way I think this is the answer to my seeing the games. Those other links mi ght prove useful but this really helps. Is this how you watch games on Sunday or what do you use? Wease and BB thanks man I think I can save some money. While it might not be as good as TV second best thing it appears.

Scout, if it makes it any easier, I'll be happy to tape them. I TIVO every game available in the ATL so I can watch them later. My DVD burner is acting up, but I can always put them on a VHS tape. Just let me know:-)

I have to watch the games by myself.I get to hyped up and like a caged animal r eady for battle. They might call the pollice on me if I went out in public to watch the game.

Gus, I'll try the field pass and if it works problem solved. If not I'll keep you in mind and offer some $$ for the copies least I could do.
