Just wanted to say hi.. The board iInormally frequent has shut down (Iowahorse's Falcons board), so I went looking and found this place.. I certainly recognise Capologist from the old official Falcons board... my tag there was djblows(not a dj or a male prostitute haha)(just goes to show that a person shouldn't create a profile after a Doug Johnson as Falcons starting QB meltdown)(god he irked me when he had his shot to start regularly, he was so effin' clutch as a backup)...

Ok, damnit... he's irked me again...
Anyway, hope to get to know ya'll better and GO FALCONS!!

Welcome. Doug Johnson, now that's a blast from the past.

Well I remember Cap was a big DJ fan back in the day, and I was too, but damn, the pressure got to him I guess. I still remember him playing a damn good game against the Giants, including a pump fake that somebody bit on big time, and winning that game. Thought he would do alright for us as a starter. He always seemed to have that one killer mistake a game though. Oh, well, thanks for the welcome. Seems like a great, active forum.

I think everyone thought Johnson would be an alright starter for us in 2003. I remember when Vick first got hurt, and everybody thought he would be out 6-8 weeks tops, most thought that with Johnson at the helm we should at least split those games, and when Vick got back in time long enough to make a playoff run.

That did not work out very well.

DJ was the end of Dan Reeves. I always thoguht the Flacons should have had someone at least rometly close to Vicks skill set as a backup. DJ was anything but, he did look good for a game or 2 then he blew ass, as i'm sure you all remember
