Iowa Senior

Gets nice velocity and zip on his snaps, and shows pretty good accuracy on his punt snaps. Does a nice job getting downfield and can cover.

Isn't consistent with his zip and accuracy. Can have some low snaps at times, and occasionally low snap can lead to missed PAT due to thrown off timing. Doesn't seem as effective when a guy lines up over him on punts.

Schulze has the baseline skills to snap at the next level, he just needs to show more consistency. He doesn't wow you with his zip, but on occasion flashes the ability to fit tight windows with his snaps. Served as Iowa's deep snapper all four years. Had four stops on special teams over last two seasons.

Schulze needs polish, but he's good enough to come in right away and push for a long-snapping job. I don't think he's quite polished enough to really be trusted with the gig right away. But give him a year or two to develop and he should be snapping for some team and doing a capable job by his third season in the league. If he can improve his velocity and be more consistent with his accuracy, he should be a capable NFL long snapper.

Schulze could push Zelenka for the job, but won't win it in a fair competition. He's worth a look in camp to provide some competition with the Falcons having an eye for 2012 and beyond. But he'd need at least a year or two to refine his skills before the Falcons should hand the keys over to him.

For a team really desperate for a long snapper, they might snatch him up at the end of the seventh round, but for all intents and purposes he's an undrafted candidate.

1-poor, 2-weak, 3-above average, 4-very good, 5-elite

Velocity: 3.0
Accuracy: 3.0
Coverage: 3.5
