Britton Colquitt 6-3/205 Tennessee 4.89 Senior
Pros: Has a strong leg and shows nice hang time and potential as a directional kicker. Has good leg to get the ball inside the 5 on kickoffs.
Cons: Needs to be more consistent with hang time.
Overview: He was suspended for the first half of the season for a DUI and a hit and run from hitting a parked car during the off-season. Is from a long steady line of punters, and his older brother Dustin punts for the Chiefs.
NFL Forecast: Colquitt isn't anything special, but he's got pedigree and a good leg and shows nice potential. He may not be a stud, but give him a few years to develop and he could be a solid punter. He has the potential to help out on kickoffs, although he's not great there.
ATL Forecast: Colquitt could push Koenen and give the Falcons a look at an option for next year if Koenen doesn't have a great in 2009. But he's not a threat to take the job. But he has the potential to be a similar style punter as Koenen for the team.
Value: Colquitt should definitely get a look as a punter at the next level, but I'm not sure he's as polished as I'd want from a guy that I'd draft.
