Sha'reff Rashad 6-0/198 Central Florida 4.58 Senior
Pros: A pretty good tackler and hitter that is able to lower the shoulder. Is comfortable working in the box and can make a stop in the open field. Works on special teams.
Cons: Struggles when in deep coverage assignments and bites on play fakes. Lacks ball skills. Has poor hips and most receivers just run right by him. Is not as physical a tackler as you want and more of a drag- down tackler. Needs to do a better job wrapping.
Overview: He is an undersized run stopper that lacks upside on defense. Led team with 5 picks as a senior.
NFL Forecast: His future in the NFL is on special teams. He's too small and would become somewhat a liability in run support at the next level. His coverage skills are poor and he wouldn't be an even bigger liability there. Right now, all he can really do is help out on special teams maybe. But he's a dime a dozen guy and unless he's a monster on special teams, I don't see him sticking for very long.
ATL Forecast: As I said before, unless he's a monster on special teams, he's not going to stick.
Value: Not worth drafting, although you can bring him to camp.
