5-11/209 Oregon
4.51 Senior

Pros: An enforcer in the secondary that hits like a truck and is a solid tackler. At him in the box, and shows good closing speed and burst on the ball. Does a good job keeping things in front of him in coverage.

Cons: Lacks awareness in zone coverage and doesn't have ideal quickness and hips to line up against receivers in the slot. Will miss some stops in the open field because he'll take some poor angles. Doesn't always play his assignment and can be overaggressive at times.

Overview: He'll never be great in coverage, but makes up for it with his solid run stopping abilities. He should be adequate covering tight ends at the next level. Started every game he played (51). Also worked as a punt and kickoff returner. He was born in Jamaica.

NFL Forecast: Chung is going to be a fan favorite wherever he lands because he's almost guaranteed to give you at least one eye-popping hit per game. I'm sure there will be a few fines levied against him in his day. But he is definitely an enforcer in the middle. Doesn't have great size, but plays fast and hard and will be able to make big plays because of it. In coverage, he's only adequate and will give up some big plays from time to time, but I don't see him being a liability, particularly if he predominately plays in a Cover-2 scheme.

ATL Forecast:: He would be a solid addition to replace Milloy at strong safety. He is a similar player in that he's a hard hitter, but not the biggest guy in the world. Working in tandem with Coleman, I don't see him as any more of a coverage liability that Milloy. That got Milloy in trouble at times, but Chung is faster and better able to cover his mistakes like Milloy was in New England during his youth. He'll be a top enforcer in the secondary and while he may not be a perennial Pro Bowler in Atlanta, he'll be one of the better and more feared safeties in the league.

Value: Chung is a solid late second round pick. He grades out as an late first/early second as far as run stopping and hitting goes, but his lack of size and upside in coverage move him later in Round Two.
