Pros: Has some quickness to get push on the pocket. Is a decent bull rusher that can shoot gaps and make stops in the backfield. Has a decent motor.
Cons: Not an impact player and inconsistent. Needs to get stronger and not good at the point of attack. Needs to get off blocks and neutralized by double teams. Lacks pass rush moves and has a weak swim. Doesn't get off blocks. Not consistently showing his first step and quickness.
Overview: He flashes ability, but not consistent enough. Only a starter for a single season, but was productive as a senior with 9 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. Torn triceps causes him to miss first half of the 2006 season.
NFL Forecast: Works the nose spot, and fits as a rotational player in a 4-3 scheme. Needs to get stronger and if he does could make a decent backup. But unless he gets stronger, I don't see him sticking long in the pros. Probably needs to get up to 310-pound range. Lacks a starter's upside. Never will be a top pass rusher, but could be a nice guy that can make some plays in the backfield. If he plays more consistently and up to his ability could make a solid rotation player.
ATL Forecast: He could help the Falcons rotation, but he's a developmental guy that lacks a starter's upside. All that developing will be for him to become a decent No. 3 or No. 4 tackle. Three or so years down the line, he'd be a decent backup nose tackle. But won't be an impact player off the bench.
Value: Maybe a team will take a chance on him late in the seventh, but I'd let him walk via free agency.
