Neefy Moffett, DE, Florida State

Neefy Moffett
6-1/256 Florida State
4.73 Senior

Pros: Has a quick first step and a capable speed rusher. Has good straight-line speed with nice closing burst on the QB.

Cons: Struggles against the run due to lack of size and poor recognition. Doesn't do a good job turning the corner.

Overview: Moffett fits nicely as a situational pass rusher at the next level. He was a two-year starter that had a career high 5.5 sacks as a senior. Yes, his real name is Neefy.

NFL Forecast: He's purely a pass rusher and lacks the frame that you expect him to be able to get bigger to become a more permanent fixture as an end. Not sure if he can move to outside linebacker, since didn't see a lot of aptitude for that. But if he can become a more polished edge pass rusher then that's fine. He'll give a team 2-3 sacks a year off the bench in a situational role.

ATL Forecast: He could potentially help the team right away by adding some speed on the edge, as he'd be second only to Abraham in that regard on the team. But not sure he's quite ready to really impact the league right away. Will need some time to refine his technique and such, and probably would be better spending a year on the practice squad. But could potentially compete right away for playing time as a situational rusher. That's all he'd ever be, but could be a productive Falcon in that role.

Value: Has enough pass rush potential that a team might think about taking him in the seventh round, but is such a limited role player that it would probably be better if he went undrafted.
