Cyril Obiozor 6-4/270 Texas A&M 4.72 Senior
Pros: Has a decent first step with a nice motor. Has some experience dropping back into coverage on zone blitzes.
Cons: Lacks the pure edge speed to beat NFL tackles off the edge. Not great or comfortable working in space.
Overview: Your classic tweener that lacks the size to play end and athleticism to play linebacker. He was a semi-productive player opposite Bennett that had 6.5 sacks combined the past two years as a starter. But never was a game-changer.
NFL Forecast: Obiozor might impress a team with his motor and work ethic, but unless he bulks up significantly, he's a marginal prospect. And if he does bulk up, he'd likely lose his quickness, negating his potential. All he could be on the next level is a situational pass rusher, and even in that role he'd be only average at best. One of those players I suspect could be really good in Canada, but not so much down here.
ATL Forecast: He could push Biermann for his roster spot, but it's doubtful he'd unseat him. At best, Obiozor could be a practice squad addition, but it's doubtful that the Falcons won't make upgrades in the next two years that would allow him to make the roster. Essentially would just be a camp body for the team.
Value: Worth bringing to camp, but would be wasting a draft pick.
