6-2/256 Arizona State
Pros: Has a decent first step and is a capable bull rusher. Has a nice motor and works well on stunts. Can play both inside and outside. Does a nice job getting leverage vs. the run, using his hands and arms well. Has some experience playing with his hand off the ground.
Cons: Lacks the edge speed and quickness to turn the corner. Lacks any real pass rush moves besides a ineffective swim. Can lose contain at times and is not fluid moving in space.
Overview: He's basically an undersized end that has potential as a run stopper. He plays hard, but lacks the athleticism and burst to really be an impact pass rusher. Spent his redshirt freshman year at Purdue before moving on to a junior college before winding up at Arizona State his last two years.
NFL Forecast: Best thing for him is to get bigger and stronger to make a move inside. He's not going to impact much at DE in the 4-3. Instead in that scheme, you should bulk him up and move him inside. Might make a decent rotational guy in a 3-4 scheme as well at DE. He can be a decent two-down player, but he'll never be an impact pass rusher.
ATL Forecast: He needs to play inside for the Falcons. As a DE prospect, he's not going to offer anything that Davis or Anderson don't already offer. Instead, give him a year or two on the practice squad to bulk him up and try him inside. He'll only be a rotation guy here, but could be a decent backup under tackle in two or so years.
Value: Don't draft him because he lacks upside, but you can sign him as an undrafted guy.
