Pros: Is a nice athlete that does his best work when he's pulling and on the move. Does a good job on the second level. Has good strength and does a nice job finishing his blocks.
Cons: Needs to improve his footwork in pass protection. Can get off balance and pushed back by tackles. Lacks pop off the snap and is not going to do a lot as a drive blocker.
Overview: He's a mobile guy that would work in a scheme that allows him to pull a lot and prefers their blockers to get position rather than blow defenders off the ball. A three-year starter at left guard that did get some reps at center prior to his senior year, opening up his potential there.
NFL Forecast: Green might be better off moving to center since he doesn't have great size for a guy and is not a guy that is going to push defenders off the ball. If he can show the mental ability to play the position (which I have no reason to doubt at this point), he could be a solid center at the next level. As a guard prospect, he could be a nice starter, but won't overwhelm you in the ground game and is nothing special in pass protection. He'll just be average there.
ATL Forecast: Green would be a nice developmental prospect for the Falcons at center. He may take a few years to adjust to playing the position, but I think if you sat him for two or so years, you could have a nice starter. At the worst, he'll be a versatile interior backup able to play both guard and center. At best, you could have an above average center. He probably won't be a top center, but should be a capable starter.
Value: As a guard, Green really is just a sixth round prospect, but his potential to play the pivot pushed him into the fifth round.
