6-4/211 Arizona State
Pros: Has good size and speed. Shows some quickness after the catch. Has good body control and goes up for the ball. Is a willing blocker downfield.
Cons: Lacks speed to stretch the field. Not going to give you much after the catch. Not as physical as his size would merit. Gets outmuscled and tackled by much smaller corners and just an average blocker. Drops some passes.
Overview: He's got NFL size, but plays much smaller than you would think. He's not a playmaker, just a guy. Member of ASU's baseball and a 29th round pick by the Yankees last year, so he has a future elsewhere if he doesn't stick in the NFL.
NFL Forecast: He'll get a shot in the pros because of his size, but unless he's a solid player on special teams he's not going to stick. He needs to get stronger and tougher, and even then he'd be a marginal prospect. Hands aren't quite good enough and he's not a playmaker. At best he's a fourth option for a team that could catch 10-20 passes a year and might be a decent factor in the redzone. I'm guessing his future in baseball is a lot brighter.
ATL Forecast: Unless he showed he was a capable special teams player, he'd have limited value to the Falcons. And even if he was a solid special teams player, he wouldn't provide much on offense to merit keeping him around for more than a few years.
Value: Not worth drafting, but somebody should bring him to camp.
