Looking back to the 2001 draft, in Round 2, I remember there being a big debate among people on whether to take a WR, with most people wanting the Falcons to choose Chad Johnson. I recall most people I spoke with (I'd guess 80-90%) hated the Crumpler pick when it was made, and hated it until they actually got to see what Crumpler can do on the field.

But if you are looking back, which pick do you take now? Crumpler or Johnson? We all know Crumpler is definitely a Top 5 tight end in the league (arguably Top 3 since it's probably only Gonzalez and Heap that I'd take before him), and I think most of us consider Johnson to be one of the true #1 receivers in the league (which puts him probably in the Top 10).

So what's more important? A #1 receiver or an elite tight end?

In Hindsight I would have picked Chad Johnson because then Price would be the true # 2 reciever he was meant to be and I doubt we would of used 2 of our 1st round picks on recievers we could of done a number of things with those picks.Great Question Pudge :!:

I would take Johnson despite his big mouth an ego.He is a game breaker and you cannot have enough of them.Crumpler is more of a possession receiver and even though vick's safety valve maybe johnson would be the go to guy since Vick never has had a no1 receiver.Crumpler is a steady good tight end but he isn't a game breaker. When I mention game breaker I mean Tony Gonzalez, kellen winslow type that can change a defense.
