I like to do this each year to see who would have picked who in the NFL draft.I need a little time to look at the players but will have my selections in hopefully tonight. An example would be roddy white picked 27th you cannot draft a player who was drafted previous before roddy.Should be interesting what we come up with!

3. Nick Kaczur, T
4. Donte Nicholson, S
5. Lorenzo Alexander, DT
5. J.R. Russell, WR
6. Walter Reyes, RB
7. Jim Davis, DE

I tried very hard pudge to pick someone different than you picks but are draft's are similar!

1.Matt Roth
2.Evan Mathis
3.Nick Kaczur
4.Donte Nicholson
5.Lorenzo alexander
6.Reynaoldo Hill
7.JR Russell

I wanted to draft the receiver from tulane in the 4th round but the falcon's needed a safety.I was very high on Tuck I think his skills are just alittle better than roth's but instead went with roth.Mathis and Kaczur can play multiple positions but one will be a guard the other tackle.Alexander he was not drafted but went with him anyway in the 5th and hill gives depth at corner plus russell may surprise in the 7th.

After further review, here are the 8 I would have chosen:

1. Mike Patterson
2. Bryant McFadden
3. Ray Willis
4. Roydell Williams
5. Michael Boley
6. Scott Young
7. Jovan Haye
8. Darrell Shropshire

I think Patterson is similar to Babineaux, only better & w/o past injury problems. Perfect fit for the Falcons D-Line. McFadden could contribute right away and could eventually take over the corner opposite Hall. He's terrific in run support as well. Ray Willis could compete for a guard position this year; excellent run blocker & could be groomed to replace Weiner. Roydell Williams I think is a real sleeper & will make big plays at the NFL level. I love Michael Boley, I was just disappointed that we chose him after taking Beck in the 3rd. Scott Young is a beast & could provide depth right away. I think we could have developed Haye nicely to eventually take over for Brady Smith. Shropshire was a nice pick in the mold of Ed Jasper. I think he will contribute this year as a back up for Lavalais.

Yeah Haye has great speed, said to be a bit raw, but he seems to fit the style of speed-first defense that the Falcons want. But I guess the Falcons fell in love with Chauncey Davis when they scouted Kevin Emanuel last year, who they picked up in training camp.
