Reg Nelson/Laron Landry who do you compare them to ?

Since Pudge has Nelson going to the Falcon's and it is possible one of these 2 safeties is taken by the falc who do you compare nelson and landry's game to. I think one site the sporting news had landry compared to roy williams.I disagree Williams is bigger and is more like a linebacker playing safety than landry.

Landry I have heard the comparrison to Brian Dawkins.Someone that hits hard, covers well and is a good tackler. Nelson has more range than landry and heaven knows the falcon corners need help in the secondary. You can't go wrong with either depends on what you want in your safety.

Come the championship game ohio state vs florida my eyes will be glued on Nelson and the LSU bowl game!

Forgot to mention about Nelson!

Forgot to mention about Nelson he has been compared to Ed Reed so do you draft Nelson(Reed) or Landry(Dawkins)? Who knows maybe landry gets drafted in the top 10 but Dawkins or the second coming is a guy I would love to have someone who can hit lights out ,good on coverage, and a difference maker. Nelson seems may cover better but does he have the game compared to Landry.

Should be interesting watch the bowl games to see the effect both these players have on there defense.

Depends on next seasons D-Coordinator.

If it's Zonatell, then Nelson is a better fit. If it's an aggresive, blitaz happy Coordinator then Landry is the guy.

Very simple and accurate breakdown. And if either player is out of reach or their stock falls between now and April, you'll see the Falcons target guys like Michael Griffin (Texas) and Eric Weddle (Utah) as the "cover types" and Tom Zbikowski (Notre Dame) and Aaron Rouse (Virginia Tech) as the aggressive ones in Round 2 or later.
