He is a very efficient CB that tries to use good techniques and is an excellent open field tackler. He shows playmaker ability. Kelvin shows good hands and body control to go after the ball in the air...He is tough and does a good job tackling and could be used as a cover safety in a nickel/dime situation while he learns the tricks of the trade.
He seems like the ideal type of player that we are looking for to solidify our nickel spot in the short-term and possibly develop into a solid #2 corner for the long-term. The knock on him is his speed, and I think that's why he's rated so low. Some don't think he has the speed to be a full-time corner and liken him to an undersized FS. But he seemingly does have the hips/quickness to play in man coverage. Plus his abilities in run support make him an ideal guy to play in both man and zone coverages. I think he would be a good pickup for us on the 2nd day.
