The good news about losing is a higher draft choice!

Well after today's thrashing I think the falcon's have a decent chance to get a good player this upcoming draft.Looking at the schedule I think the falcon's win 3 of the next 6 putting them at 8-8 for the year. That should get them about 17-18 in the draft possibly.Maybe a few fellows to think about in the draft that I hope are there!

1.Jake Long
2.Lamar Woodley
3.Levi Brown
4.Laron Landry
5.Frank Okam

I wish Alan Branch would fall but he is to good also the top corners will be gone.I think these are the 1st rounders that could be there. Hey there has to be a bright spot somewhere in Falcon land.
Sometimes running the Mularkey offense makes me feel like I'm in a prison.

Scout, glad to see you on the Jake Long bandwagon. He's not Orlando Pace, but he'd be just as valuable in our blocking scheme.

I like Woodley too. He has that rangy speed that reminds me a lot of Abraham.

I like both of these players too, but do you really think the Falcons will use a 1st round pick on an offensive lineman? It's not their style...unfortunately.

No, I don't starley. BUt I like to hold out the hope, just like I like to hold out the hope they might still make the playoffs this year.

If we can beat the Saints and Panthers, things will look good. Oh, we need to get healthy too. I guess that would help some huh? Ha Ha.

Falcons's currently draft 11th!

Postby thescout » Tue Nov 28, 2006 2:07 am

Just an update after losing to the aints the falcon's draft 11th and next week is huge since the skins are 4-7 and other 4-7 teams could alter the draft next week. The worst 4-7 drafts 8th ..although on the flipside the best 5-7 team drafts 22nd. After all these years of being a falcon fan you have to find some way to spin the wheel in a postive direction since the falcon's are not winning.

Players like Woodley,Branch look good to me.It isn't out of the question Gaines Adams could be had if the falcon's lost enough games.Sad commentary hoping for a high draft choice at this point.
