Rookie Stats by GBN ,interesting!

Postby thescout » Tue Oct 31, 2006 12:03 am

Look at the rookie stats this year. A few players jump out at me Colston having 588 yards receiving as a 7throunder and norwood 6.8 yards per carry.Norwood has got to get more playing time. The Bears def end mark anderson over 5 sacks may be becuae of the other dominant players on defense? Pass rushers are hard to come by but the bears get one to add what they have.
Sometimes running the Mularkey offense makes me feel like I'm in a prison.

I'm jumping more and more on the Norwood bandwagon with each week. Even if you discount his 78-yard run, he still is averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

I don't think we should be seeing him and Dunn split carries by any means. But if the Falcons can get him 3-5 more carries per game than they currently are, I think it will have a significant impact.

My early bets for rookies of the year based on the 1st half of the season are Addai and Anderson. But I wouldn't count out Dawan Landry, Dumervil, or AJ Hawk as far as defense goes, and Leinart, Gradkowski, Young, and Maroney may have something to say by the end of the year on offense.
