http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.co ... berty-job/Wow, a little shocked to see Turner Gill, who famously (or infamously) was passed over by Auburn, allegedly because Gill, being black, is married to a white woman, and that wouldn't jibe in the Alabama.
So he gets hired by Liberty, which is a school founded by the late Jerry Falwell, a very prominent Evangelical Christian. I'm not aware of any real controversies involving Falwell and race, but he has had very prominent anti-gay leanings (such as blaming the 9/11 attacks on America's "leniency" on homosexuality), and that sort of perspective generally comes from the same source as racism, or at least one that would not be a big fan of interracial marriage.
So we'll see how that turns out...
