Mock drafts from Rob Rang and chad Reuter of CBS. Interestingly, I was trying to peg who the Falcon's might take and believe that Torie Smith, and Ryan Kerrigan will be on that list. If Baker doesn't play well against Green Bay and Costanzo is on the board he might be on the list as well.

Castonzo is not an upgrade over Baker. They are basically the same player.

I was thinking in terms of potential. Baker as been in the league 3 years now and seems to be regressing. What is Castonzo's potential to get better? If not Costonzo Kiper as a left tackle from Wisconsin I think ranks 25 now. I think we need to have a back up plan in case Baker can't get it done. Ryan needs to be protected better from left tackle.

I don't see tennessee going with Cam after just dumping Young. Kind of similar.

Pass protection is not the main issue with Baker, despite what people say. It's an issue, but not as big an issue as people make it out to be.

The issue with Baker is that he doesn't add anything as a run blocker. Even if Castonzo has greater potential in pass protection, if he can't push the pile in the running game, then he is not an upgrade.

Not an upgrade imho, bigger needs at TE, WR, RB and DE.

I guess I'm crazy staying up this late looking at players who the Falcon's might draft,haha I tell you after seeing Rudolph more closely and Torrie Smith receiver you can't go wrong. I also watched some of Luke Stocker but maybe not enough. Rudolph seems more athletic than Stocker the little film I did see. Torrie Smith looks like another potential Roddy as a receiver and could really help the offense.

If Rudolph is physically healthy I think he'll be a first rounder and so will Smith. It's unfortunate because I want both for the Falcon's. Rudolph is a huge target at 6'7 and a great escape valve for Ryan.Smith would make it very difficult for defenses to matchup with our receivers. There could be a possiblity one slides to the 2nd round and in that case if I'm TD I might just trade up to get the one who drops to the 2nd round. The NFL probably will have a strike next year and if Rudolph wasn't fully healed by training camp this 2011 year he certainly would be for 2012.I love tight ends who are hard to bring down ala Gonzo but it's hard to say how much longer he'll play. Could you imagine Roddy,Smith,Rudolph and Jenkins/Douglas. Add in our running game with Turner and a speed back defenses would have a hard time containing us.
