Not convinced that Houston is a 1st round talent even as a DE. At this point, I would say as a DE, he's at best a late 2nd round value.

I like Kendricks a lot, but I'm not sure he's a great fit here in Atlanta. He's an underrated blocker, much like Randy McMichael was, but I really do think he's not going to excel unless he's playing as a true H-back much closer to Dallas Clark that needs to be playing in space. The player that nobody is really talking about that I like as a 3rd/4th round sleeper is Jordan Cameron (USC). He is an ex-basketball player, didn't have a big year at USC this year as their No. 2 TE (16 catches, 1 TD), but flashes enough tools that if he could just a year of learning from Gonzo, I think he could really blossom down the road.

I disagree that Dahl is the worst of the 3 FA linemen. He's definitely better than Blalock. Dahl is the guy that makes our O-line go.

Do you think Houston is a better fit for the 3-4? I personally don't see how but I know many people are high on him as a OLB.

I haven't heard of Cameron. I'll probably check him out sometime.

I think Blalock has outplayed him this year. Dahl has been more consistent but I'd rather keep Blalock.

I think Houston has question marks about him as a 3-4 OLB, like whether he can play in space and coverage. But I think his speed off the corner would be better utilized as a rush linebacker than a rush end. He could be a good fit for a hybrid role kind of like Orakpo did as a rookie in D.C.

And while at 6-3/258, he's not too small to play DE, he isn't the prototype size by NFL standards, and teams will look at him first as an OLB, and then as a DE.
