With Stovall running something like a 4.6 at the Combine in the 40, his stock slipped a bit. He was a guy that was fast rising up the WR boards in the 2 months following the end of the college year due to his size, hands, and route-running abilities. Now, he's unlikely to land in Round 1. But if that's the case, he seems like the perfect fit for Atlanta. He has size, hands, toughness, and guess what? He blocks very well. All the makings of a good Falcon wideout in the eyes of Mora, McKay, and Knapp.

I would not at all be surprised if the Falcons took him in Round 2 if he was available. Although it's not a major need now that Finneran is locked up, McKay hasn't exactly been a guy that adhered strictly to the biggest needs on the first day of the draft the past two years.

Stovall is a very good blocker and very physical for a WR but hands are NOT his strength. He did alright at the senior bowl, and at the combine when I watched the WR drill he did not impress. He had the #2 amount of dropped balls behind Arizona States WR Hagan.

Plus alot of scouts think if he puts on weight he might project as a better TE.
