5 straight days/nights of college football, it might be the greatest weekend ever.

Games I plan on taping to watch later:

• Thursday, 8:30 Pitt vs. Utah
  The only time I ever get to see Utah play the past few years has been their bowl game. They always manage to impress me. So I figure, this year I'll watch the first game and proabbly the last game.
  
• Saturday, 3:30 UConn vs. Michigan
  UConn has a couple of good prospects, and it's always a curiosity to see Michigan play. THey are interesting if not very good.
  
• Saturday, 7:00 Memphis vs. Mississippi St.
  This isn't a high profile game, but I realized earlier today that I haven't scouted a MSU game since 2001. Might as well give them a shot this year, since this will probably be the only week I'll care to see them.
  
• Saturday, 7:00 Washington vs. BYU
  Jake Locker.
  
• Saturday, 7:45 Oregon St. vs. TCU
  Outside Monday night's game, probably the best matchup of the weekend.
  
• Saturday, 8:00 LSU vs. UNC
  Love seeing the SEC run through the ACC.
  
• Monday, 8:00 Boise St. vs. Virginia Tech
  We're talking national championship importance here people.

I don't think it is better than the Bowl season, but damn close. Looking forward to it!!!!

Getting ready to watch Pitt-Utah here in a few hours.

Utah will throw the ball less than 15 times in this game. Whittingham is going to try to win it with a healthy running game and stuffing Dion Lewis.

Romeus will do some damage. He is going against Juco Transfer (but juco offensive player of year) John Cullen. He hasnt had the best camp and there will be concerns for the first few games. Romeus will get to Wynn a few times. But Wynn wont be doing any 7 step drops and very few 5 step drops. Mainly 3 steppers with slant patterns to the X receiver or wide receiver screens to the Y receiver. Maybe an occasional deep ball to our Z receiver but only to keep Holley honest from creeping up too much.Pudge, do you think he will get any serious help ???.

Also somewhat interesting that Pitt arrived in SLC today at 4pm. Just 24 hours to adjust to the altitude? Hmmm. Maybe not a big factor but most teams visiting Utah (and Wyo & Colorado as well) purposely arrive 48 hours prior for the extra adjustment. We will see how that plays out.

No prob, I don't expect Pitt to travel 2000 miles and beat a good team like Utah. At the very least, I just hope they give them hell for 60 minutes rather than laying down and dying which Pitt has a tendency to do every now and then.
