A.J. Green
6-4/205, Junior

Has excellent hands and body control, abel to make the highlight-reel catches. Does a good job in traffic because he can adjust to the ball in the air and will get vertical to attack it. Does a good job tracking the deep ball and usually wins the jump bal. Hard to jam due to his size. Has speed to challenge downfield and run past corners. Uses his size fairly well a a blocker and gives effort.

Doesn't do a great job finishing his blocks or locking on. Could bulk up.

He's a natural receiver that is a playmaker because he is trustworthy and a security blanket for a receiver. He'll come down with the jump ball, and is a QB's best friend because he can adjust and bring down inaccurate throws. There really isn't much to dislike about Green. He has a bit of a skinny build, and you'd love to see him add some muscle without losing his speed. But he's not scrawny and is strong for his size.

What I Want to See in 2010:

More of the same. Despite going from Stafford to Cox, his production didn't really show much dropoff. But not sure about the new situation at QB and he'll have a redshirt freshman it seems throwing him the ball. So if he has another 50-catch season with around a half-dozen touchdowns, then it is another indicator of his consistency. If he finds a way to put together a great season, then that's just gravy.

2011 Projection:

Because his starting QB won't be graduating like Julio Jones in Alabama, there seems to better odds that Green could stay for his senior year. But as a potential Top 10 pick, that's a lot of money to be leaving on the table, and so I still think the odds are low that Green doesn't come out in 2011. And again, he'll likely be a Top 10 pick and has the potential to be a Top 3 pick like a Calvin Johnson if things break his way this year.
