Chat wrap with Scott Wright talking about the draft. Thinks Pouncey is the best center in the last 10 yrs.

Personally, don't think he's better than Alex Mack. But close.

I don't think he's better than Mack either. And I can't say I've ever seen him make a line call either... I'm sure he does it, but he doesn't do it often because I watched 3 Florida games this year and I rarely, if ever, saw him make them. If he doesn't do that how could he be a better Center prospect than Mack or Mangold?

I agree better than Mack and Mangold don't think so. I think part of it is some prognasticators always believe the current crop is better than past crops sometimes.Pouncey played in a shotgun offense that could be a factor but did he ever call the line blocking schemes? If he is the pick he better be a pro bowler in a few yrs or it wasn't a good pick. There are so many other important positions that are needed and it depends on who is available.

I think Pouncey is stronger and definitely more able to play more than one position at the next level than Mack. But I think Mack is much more polished and has better technique.

I'd bet the reason you like Pouncey more is because he could make a pretty good guard. Mack was good enough to play guard but he wasn't going to be great there. One could argue that Pouncey is a better guard prospect than center. I think that might be the case with us, that he'd be more valuable as a guard than center in Atlanta.

Until the NFC becomes 3-4 laden like the AFC, there really isn't that a big a boost to having a big center in this conference.
