I hope the right player falls to us!

Hope is great Scout, but there are no guarantees. There are just so many variables when picking a player. Ruminating about past failures, or over thinking the pick is just the fans way of feeling some control over what TD does or doesn't do. I really believe TD and the gang will do their homework well, look at the big picture and make the best pick for the team. After that it is up to the player himself, and the coaching staff to make the pick achieve "greatness". Add the injury scenarios, which plagued our picks last year and it can really be a while before any realistic evaluation can be determined.

This is def a big deal as Houston could use a CB badly too (w/ Daunta gone). They also still prob need more on D overall than O too, minus the RB need.

Lots of teams in the middle of Round 1 could use a CB. Tennessee (16th), Pittsburgh (18th) both potentially have CB as their #1 need this off-season.

We'll have to see what happens in free agency. Where Bodden and Robinson land could have a big impact on the middle part of Round 1. Also the Titans ability to address their pass-rush mainly by re-signing Vanden Bosch should also impact as well.

With so many teams in the middle of Round 1 wanting pass rushers and defensive backs, it's going to be interesting if they guy the Falcons want is available at 19th.

I think Pittsburgh needs to look at the oline too, probably more so, esp if they can get Polamalu back healthy.

Tenn def needs one, but you're right about KVB too.
