PROS: Is active in run support, and does a nice job wrapping up. Is quick to come up and defend the run in the box. Can bring down bigger backs and does a nice job at the point of attack. Shows pop as a tackler and will thump a guy. Shows ability to play on punt coverage.
CONS: Undersized. Doesn't have good range. Will take some bad angles to the ball at times. Struggles in coverage as he lacks ideal awareness and instincts.
OVERVIEW: A good run-defending safety, but fairly one-dimensional. Had 5 picks and 7 pass breakups as a junior, but only 1 and 2 as a senior.
NFL FORECAST: Stuckey is a natural strong safety that has the size of a free safety. He's not very big, but could bulk up a bit more. But he's a good tackler that shows nice ability when defending the run. The problem is that he doesn't show that much when asked to defend the pass. And because of that it's hard to see him being a productive starter. He's probably good enough to land a backup position, especially since he can also impact on special teams. I would probably compare him to an undersized version of Kevin Payne. With some time to develop and a bit more muscle, I think he can develop into a solid starter similar to Payne, but nothing special.
ATL FORECAST: Stuckey could work as a reserve strong safety behind Moore, and would probably be a better long-term fit there than Coleman. But he doesn't have quite the upside to think he'll be able to compete as a starter. But in a few years he could be a solid reserve that if he can improve in coverage, could be a nice reserve that could fill in at both positions. But his initial value to the team would be on special teams, and probably within two seasons he should have progressed enough in coverage that would make Coleman expendable.
VALUE: Stuckey is a middle round pick that would probably be best taken in the fifth round because he's depth and could be a decent developmental starter.
