Brandon Ghee
6-0/192
Wake Forest Senior
40: 4.37

Pros: Has good hips and has the speed to run with receivers. Has good size. Active in run support, with good burst off the edge to make the stop and cut a runner's legs. Does a good job keeping things in front of him.
Cons: Needs to show better awareness in man coverage. Gets caught out of position and stuck staring into the backfield. Can lose the ball and man when he's turning his back to the ball. Will give up too much cushion at times.
Overview: He has the size and athleticism you like, but doesn't play with great awareness. Not super productive, having only 1 pick in 3 years as a starter, but did have 25 pass breakups. He was expected to have a breakout senior year after the departure of Antoine Smith, but had a fairly quiet year.
NFL Forecast: Ghee has the upside to be a very good NFL cornerback, but I'm not confident in him. He gives up too many big plays, and doesn't seem to have the knack to make up for it with big plays of his own. He should be able to match up with the better receivers in the league, but I can see him getting beat quite a bit. He is too much like Chris Houston, and will struggle when he's left on an island in man coverage. Now, he has the athletic potential to get better but he's going to need good coaching and might not be able to crack a starting lineup that early in his career. Best thing for his development will be to bring him along as a nickel corner for a few years before asking him to start. He has starting potential, but if he thrust into the lineup too quickly, he might not blossom.
ATL Forecast: Ghee offers the Falcons more size and athletic potential, but isn't polished enough to come in and make a huge difference early on. But he could compete for a nickel cornerback spot and be able to contribute there. He has potential to develop into a solid starter, but he'd likely have to work his way up the roster. Considering the Falcons haven't done wonders with the development of Chris Houston, it doesn't seem likely that they'd be looking to add another player like him.
Value: Ghee's play is probably closer to a third round pick, but with his size and athleticism he would make a nice late second round pick.
